Kit fits 2018-22 X3 120HP base, non-intercooled X3
Lock & Load! This Stage 1 kit provide a big increase in horsepower and torque simplified into an easy package. Tuning and clutching on the X3 go together like high powered rifles and tannerite. Together they pack a huge punch for the ultimate power gains to the wheels. The tuning allows for great power depending on the level tune, supporting mods & fuel you want to run. Tuning also allows for better power at higher RPM where the factory ECU calibration falls off. The clutching allows for RPM to ramp up faster, and to reach those higher RPM where best power to the wheels is made in the real world.
The Maverick X3 120HP is a great UTV that has a ton of potential. It's priced right, and for just a little more we can get the power you are needing. We have 3 levels of performance for pump gas on the stock configuration with no intercooler/stock fuel pump and intercooler/stock fuel pump. For those with the intercooler and 172HP fuel pump we have 6 levels of performance from pump gas, to race fuel, to E-85!
If you choose to add the intercooler later on or currently have an intercooler or intercooler with 172HP fuel pump, we have tunes for this as well! These tunes are built off the 120HP base tune, but have all the same updates/horsepower levels as the 172HP X3's and are now intercooler/fan ready with no need for an additional harness/switch.
Big horsepower and torque gains depending on the level of tune desired, and supporting modifications.
Not just dyno tested! We are avid riders and like the factory, a ton of the testing is done in the field to make sure you are getting 110%. With data logging capabilities you can't get any better testing than real world. Often times we can make significant changes to further increase power, drivability, and feel of the machine that can never be done on the dyno.
- Wicked throttle response and power delivery (for sport mode)
- Throttle by wire limitations disabled
- Torque calculations set correctly to ensure the most performance at all times

- Get rid of the lean punch! The factory runs these things stupid lean when getting on boost and we fix that.
- Boost tables properly modified for the fuel & modifications along with lightning quick turbo spool
- Timing tables modified for best power per tune
- Safety parameters to protect your motor and turbocharger are still in place
- Speed limiters removed with the white key
- 2 foot limiters removed
- Rev limit raised from 8300 to a safe 9000 RPM
- Powervision flash tuner reprograms your ECU in roughly 8-10 minutes per flash over the diagnostic port
- Easily return back to stock, switch tunes, or upgrade tunes at any time
- A great gauge (see live boost and more) and data logging device
- See our Powervision gauge mount HERE
- For reference the stock 120HP base is roughly 7psi of boost
Available Tunes:
- Our level 1 for without an intercooler tune is a 140-145 crank horsepower tune and basically makes your boost on par with the 2017 154hp X3. This tune runs on 91-93 octane and makes roughly 9-10psi of boost . This is a solid tune for a huge burst in power and runs all day long without over heat soaking the non intercooled system. Stock waste gate adjustment is fine for this tune.
- Our Level 2 tune without an intercooler runs on 91-93 octane and is 150-55 crank horsepower that packs a big punch on this non intercooled X3. This is the one most will run for maximum gains and runs 10-11psi of boost. This will heat up air faster than a level 1, so if you are going to hold it pinned for extended periods of time this might not be the best tune as it will detune you based on intake temp. However for most 0-70mph bursts and on/off throttle applications this is the tune to run. Stock waste gate adjustment is fine for this tune.
- Our level 3 tune without an intercooler is a 160-165hp show off tune if you want to drag race your buddies that think the 120hp base can't keep up. We run about 12-13psi of boost on this tune. This is for short bursts only and should not be used for any type of sustained riding. This is a 91-93 octane tune and requires your waste gate to be shortened by 2 turns.
- Our Level 1 tune for a 120HP with intercooler and stock fuel pump produces roughly 170 crank horsepower on 91 or 93 octane. This tune runs an average of 14 PSI of boost and is a very safe tune to run on even 91 oxy/ethanol fuel. This tune absolutely rips on 14 PSI, and puts you right on par with the 172HP model horsepower! 2018-19 models can upgrade to our high flow intake and gain another 5-7HP. Will work with or without an aftermarket exhaust. **Required Mods: Clutch kit, wastegate crack pressure at 7-8 PSI.**
- Our Level 2 tune for a 120HP with intercooler and stock fuel pump produces roughly 180 crank horsepower on 91 or 93 octane. This tune runs an average of 14.5-15 PSI of boost. 2018-19 models can upgrade to our high flow intake and gain another 5-7HP. Will work with or without an aftermarket exhaust. **Required Mods: Clutch kit, wastegate crack pressure at 7-8 PSI.**
- Our Level 3 tune for a 120HP with intercooler and stock fuel pump produces roughly 185 crank horsepower on 91 or 93 octane. This tune runs an average of 15-15.5 PSI of boost. This tune is our max pump gas tune and hauls the mail. 2018-19 models can upgrade to our high flow intake and gain another 5-7HP. **Required Mods: Aftermarket exhaust (at least cat delete), clutch kit, wastegate crack pressure at 7-8 PSI.**
- Our Level 1 tune for a 120HP with intercooler and 172HP fuel pump produces roughly 185 crank horsepower on 91 or 93 octane. This tune runs an average of 15-16 PSI of boost. 2018-19 models can upgrade to our high flow intake and gain another 5-7HP and lower boost temps. **Required Mods: Clutch kit, wastegate crack pressure at 7-8 PSI.**
- Our Level 2 tune for a 120HP with intercooler and 172HP fuel pump produces roughly 195 crank horsepower on 91 or 93 octane. This tune runs an average of 16-17 PSI of boost. 2018-19 models can upgrade to our high flow intake and gain another 5-7HP and lower boost temps. **Required Mods: Clutch kit, wastegate crack pressure at 7-8 PSI.**
- Our Level 3 tune for a 120HP with intercooler and 172HP fuel pump produces roughly 205 crank horsepower on 91 or 93 octane. This tune runs an average of 17-17.5 PSI of boost. 2018-2019 models must have a high flow intake (2020+ models already have a high flow intake). **Must have aftermarket exhaust (at least cat delete), clutching, Wastegate crack pressure should be 7-8 PSI.**
- Our Level 4 tune for a 120HP with intercooler and 172HP fuel pump produces roughly 220 crank horsepower on 98-100 octane. We normally run 91 or 93 octane with 1 can of VP Octanium unleaded. This tune runs an average of 18-18.5 PSI of boost with a hotter timing curve to pick up extra torque and HP. This tune is wicked fast! **2018-2019 must have a high flow intake (2020+ models already have a high flow intake). Must have aftermarket exhaust (at least cat delete), clutching, Wastegate crack pressure should be 9-10 PSI.**
- Our Level 4 AV gas tune for a 120HP with intercooler and 172HP fuel pump produces roughly 220 crank horsepower and has the same requirements as the original Level 4.
- Our Level 5 tune for a 120HP with intercooler and 172HP fuel pump produces roughly 230 crank horsepower on 105-110 octane. We normally run MS109 as it's unleaded. This tune runs an average of 19-20 PSI of boost with a hotter timing curve even over Level 4 to further pick up extra torque and HP. This tune is crazy fast for the stock turbo! Hands down, this is the highest horsepower tune possible on the factory turbo/wastegate & factory injectors. **2018-2019 must have a high flow intake (2020+ models already have a high flow intake). Must have aftermarket exhaust (at least cat delete), clutching, Wastegate crack pressure should be 10-12 PSI.**
- Level 6 E-85 Kill mode for the 120HP with intercooler, 172HP fuel pump, and our 1200cc injectors produces 230 crank HP. This E-85 tune packs as much if not more punch than the Level 5 tune but must be used with our big injectors. This tune is an absolute riot and will leave others in the dust. We throw down a huge 185-190 RWHP with this tune at 19-20 PSI of boost, with a wicked timing curve for the cool burning E-85. This one will throw you back in the seat as soon as you get on the throttle and keep pulling for days! Hands down, this is the highest horsepower tune possible on the factory turbo/wastegate. **2018-2019 must have a high flow intake (2020+ models already have a high flow intake). Must have aftermarket exhaust (at least cat delete), clutching, Wastegate crack pressure should be 10-12 PSI. If purchasing this tune, it will automatically include the injectors. Your other tunes purchased will also be built for the 1200cc injectors (tunes must be written for those specific injectors)**
How to: Waste Gate Adjustment
Max boost levels are listed as reference only. Altitude, temperature, charge temps, intercooler temps and many other conditions play into a factor of final boost output. AA tunes do a better job of making sure you reach these levels as the factory tunes are overly safe.
Why AA tunes over others? We have been tuning UTV's with CVT clutches for a long time, longer than almost anyone in our field going back to the 800 RZR. Tuning a CVT vehicle properly is not an easy task as you have so many variables at one time. We spend the time to wheel dyno(with actual UTV tires) correctly per modification, and have advanced ECU calibration and clutching knowledge to do so. Every change in horsepower can result in us changing clutching several times. We also develop most of our supporting mods so we know everything works correctly, and build parts to fit the vehicles needs. Lastly and honestly the most important; we then back up our results with real world data logging on local trails and our facility on 110 acres. It's this combination that truly makes the difference and why AA normally has a faster vehicle with the same or less rated tune horsepower.
