Primary Drive Clutch
With the XP900 we experienced 10MPH GAIN OVER THE STOCK CLUTCHES.
MUST BE USED WITH THE STM TUNER DRIVEN FOR BEST RESULTS! CHECK OUT THE VIDEO BELOW.
New improved two-way bearing design. The main shaft bearing is now smaller with a 47mm outside diameter allowing a lower initial take off ratio than our past design. Allows tighter belt deflection, transmission shifting and belt chirp.
A complete billet design that uses a screw-on style spider. Rigid reinforced design for higher horsepower applications. We have designed the Rage 3P to create more overdrive than the stock clutch system. To obtain the proper overdrive the STM Tuner Driven clutch must be used. These STM clutches will fit under the stock cover with no interference. The Rage clutches are capable of using most cam arms that are available on the market. We have incorporated a pin size option for every clutch we make by providing a pin conversion design in the movable sheave. Pin conversions are available in 1/4"and 5/16" diameter. We incorporate a fixed pin design that pivots the cam arm between two bushings and attaches the cam arm to the pin providing more durability to the cam arm pivot points.
The cover is designed to use Polaris ATV springs providing a wide variety of spring rates to choose from.
The Rage is calibrated with a spring and set of our own adjustable SUPERTIP CAM ARMS. Each clutch is assembled and set up to run the Polaris OEM belt (stock belt for each machine). Uses the stock primary bolt.
WE HAVE A TESTED SET UP FOR YOUR TURBO CHARGED RAZOR THAT FLAT OUT PULLS!
Item numbers 1001649 Primary Clutch Vice Holding Tool, 1001653 STM Spider Nut Socket Tool and 1001020 STM Rage 3 & 6 Spider Tool is required when removing or installing the spider. Works on all STM primary clutches. Sold separately.
When ordering use this guide to help you pick options
Choose a Model – EX: RZR pre-2010, RZR 2011-2013, XP……
Choose Rage # - Pick which arm clutch you want, Rage 3 your basic replacement clutch, Rage 6 is most popular dual stage clutch that will handle most applications even low boost turbo, Rage 8 is for higher HP applications that require heavy cam arms.
Conversion Kit - You will choose the 1001321 when running the STM weights or choose the 1001323 if you want to run a Polaris style weight for a ¼ pin.
Choose a spring - The most popular spring is the PATV9 gold that will get you engagement around 2000 to 2500 RPM the red, orange, white, and purple will have a higher engagement with purple being the highest. The bright green is a lower rate spring will engage around 1500 RPM or choose none if you want to use your own spring.
Choose weights – For the RZR with a Rage 3 choose 45ATVX3, Rage 6 Choose the 45ATVX, RZR with a Rage 8 choose 45ATVX, For the stock XP with a Rage 6 choose 45ATVX, XP Turbo with Rage 6 choose 50ATVX, XP Turbo with Rage 8 choose 45ATVX
Choose Engine HP – Let us know about your bike - is it naturally aspirated/stock? Big bore kit? Does it have a turbo? If you have a turbo-how much boost? This gives us an idea of how to set the weights up. KEEP IN MIND WE CAN ONLY GET YOU CLOSE WITH WEIGHT SET UP. Everyone's riding style is different so it’s up to the customer to do the fine tuning!
Secondary Driven Clutch
All billet construction capable of using compression springs with different spring rate options. We have many helix angles see menu above. We can also provide custom helix angles if you desire for an additional fee.
We also offer the option of a encapsulated helix design that keeps the driven from unloading, opening and going into high gear during breaking and jumping which some racers require.
Can be used along with the stock primary or the STM primary. Best results are acquired when running both the STM primary and STM tuner together.
When ordering use this guide to help you pick options
Choose a model – Let us know what you have RZR pre-2010, RZR 2011-2013, XP900, 14 XP1000 Or 15 XP1000
Number of shims – The amount of shims we install will determine your belt deflection or how tight the belt will be between your primary and driven clutch. Keep in mind we are setting the deflection for a stock belt, for an RZR pre-2010 choose 1 shim, RZR 2011-2015 choose 3 shims, XP choose 3 shims. Keep in mind the more shims you add the looser the belt - less shims tighter belt. NOTE: You want to have your belt as tight as possible without the bike creeping forward while in gear at idle.
Choose a helix angle - The most popular helix is the 45°. It’s a good all-around helix we found worked the best for the average to aggressive trail rider.
Choose a spring– The most popular spring is the PS13 gold this spring works well for most average to aggressive trail riders. If you have a turbo choose the KSS12 blue spring.
Comes with a belt removal tool and uses stock bolt for installation.
KEEP IN MIND WE CAN ONLY GET YOU CLOSE WITH SET UP. Everyone's riding style is different so it’s up to the customer to do the fine tuning!
